Color

We say COLOR OF SOUND as a metaphor for HARMONICS composition. Just like painters compose a color, by mixturing them, pianists create color by mixturing the harmonics. Color is synonym for timbre.

What alters the timbre and create colors? Dynamics, articulation, kind of attack, pedalling and speed.
