CHOPIN - Nocturne Op. 9 no. 2

Updated: Dec 21, 2022

This is not an easy piece. Jumps, lots of different articulation, free flowing right hand melody (bel canto) and very difficult to control the sound. You must practice left hand jumps reflexes a lot, keep pedal very subtle and disconnect right hand from left hand. They are very independent and does not match together for a very musical, Chopinesque cantabile style. I recommend listening to great CHOPIN performers from old School playing this. Also you'll have to acquire iron fingers and play very lightly, which can be tiresome if you don't relax on the strong beat.
